As you may know, in response to the evolving concerns surrounding the COVID-19 virus, York University has recently announced it is moving all classes online until further notice.

In order to offer services in an accessible format for students off-campus and in keeping with the recommendations from Health Canada regarding social distancing, SCD services will be restricted to being provided over the phone. Furthermore, in order to prioritize crisis/ emergency support, we will be putting ongoing counselling on hold until further notice.

Should you be interested in speaking with a counsellor, you may access telephone single session/ crisis/ emergency support by calling 416-736-5297. If the line is busy, please wait for a few minutes and call again. The telephone line is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Eligibility for Service

You are eligible for services at SCD if you are currently registered and enrolled in courses at the Keele Campus. This includes Glendon Campus students and students from other institutions, if they are currently in courses at the Keele Campus. Students who are currently registered or enrolled in courses at the Glendon campus are eligible for a range of counselling-related services at The Accessibility, Well-Being and Counselling (AWC) Centre.
